As conditions in East Pakistan get more and more stable the people are regaining confidence and life in Dacca, other towns and the countryside continues to improve.
The curfew hours in Dacca have been further relaxed by two and a half hours from today (Monday). The curfew hours to be effective from this evening will be from 7.30 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
The flow of daily necessities of life from the interior into Dacca is gaining momentum. The increased supplies of fresh vegetables, fruit, milk , meat and poultry are having a salutary effect on the prices.
Banks have been transacting increased business. In Saturday's transactions there were more deposits than withdrawals. Post offices too are having to look with increasing load of work.

Meanwhile, the ML authorities have said the New Delhi Radio report that most of Dacca city has been razed to the ground is nothing but one of its patently absurd falsehoods and shows the extent of distortion to which the official Indian Radio can stoop in misrepresenting facts. They say that the gradual return of normalcy in the city gives the lie to this beseless Indian propaganda.
Rawalpindi, April 4 (APP): Demand for concrete action to back up the resolution on East Pakistan was raised by several members in Indian Parliament according to an All India Radio broadcast monitored here. The broadcast said, members demanded that India "should recognise the Government of "Bangladesh".
Mr. Krishna Menon, a former Defence Minister speaking in Lock Sabha said, India should immediately recognise the new "Government". India must go to the rescue of the people of East Bangal on humanitarian considerations."

In Rajya Sabha, Mr. Daya Bhai Patel (Swatantra) said that "The resolution on East Bengal passed by parliament must be backed by concrete action."
Mr. Bankey Bihari Dar (PSP) and an independent member and Mr. P.C. Mitro (Congress) were among those who wanted India to recongise the "Government of Bangla Desh", Mr. Mitro said, India should send volunteers and material support to East Bengal.
