Liquidate champions of Bangladesh: Maudoodi's call
Lahore, April 6,(APP): Maulana Abul Ala Maudoodi, Amir of the Jamaat-
In a press statement issued here he said the Muslims of East Pakistan must know that if God forbids East Pakistan got separated with the help of India then they would lose their freedom. They would become worst type of slaves of Hindus and this slavery could be likened with the bondage. They underwent from the battle of Plassey to August 1947, he adds.
Maulana Maudoodi called upon the Muslims of East Pakistan to throw their entire support behind the country's Armed Forces to liquidate the champions of so called "Bangla Desh."
Voice of Truth
He described as voice of truth, justice and reason the statement of leading political leaders of East Pakistan and leading lawyers of Dacca condemning the interference by India in the internal affairs of East Pakistan and the malicious Indian propaganda against Pakistan.
The need of the hour is, Maulana Maudoodi said that this voice should be raised from all nooks and corners of East Wing so that the world come to know fully that the crocodile's tears shed by India in favour of "Bengalis" were based on "absolute insincerity".
Maulana Maudoodi further said the fact was that India was trying to separate East Pakistan from the country for a long time. Because of India's tacit sympathy and support the movement for "Bangla Desh" took the shape of armed rebellion. But when the Armed Forces of Pakistan, after displaying extreme patience moved out to crush this rebellion, India came out in the open to support this movement. What Pakistan's Armed Forces did under the circumstance was nothing new. They did what an armed force in the world would have done in the given circumstances, he added.
The Jamaat-
Furthermore, if there was armed revolt for separation in Madras, West Bengal, Maharashtra or other parts of India would not the Indian Govt. deploy its armed forces to crush it? he asked.
