(Editorial)

The respose to Mujib's call has been magnificent; what he has wrought at times borders on the miraculous. His words have had a magical effect; in trying to keep thing under control he has taken risks that only a statesman could have.

Awami League volunteers have been doing a very good job in maintaining peace and keeping anti-social elements in check. They are imbued with idealism and are fully conscious of their responsibilities. They deserve credit for what they have been doing. We hope that they would preserve their idealism and enthusiasm under all conditions.
