Ready for sacrifice
The Awami League chief told the crowds to be prepared for any sacrifice for achieving the goal. He said that once the seven crore Bengalees had unitedly raised their head against continued exploitations and injustices, no power on earth could subdue them with any amount of force. He urged the people to continue the movement in a disciplined manner and said, "I am convinced that the demands of Bengalees will be realised and victory will be on our side.
The Sheikh told the people who urged him not to compromise, " Possibly we could still live as friends if they accepted our demands immediately".

Mr. Bhutto said here yesterday that Yahya and Mujib had reached general agreement which he considered an "encouraging basis for further discussion.

He said that the general agreement "was reached between the president and Mujib subject to the agreement of the PPP.
Mr. Bhutto reaffirmed that he and his party would strain every nerve to reach an understanding and agreement acceptable to all.
He said, "We are working on the four points (four preconditions of Sheikh Mujib) and more than that. We are considering interim arrangement keeping in view permanent arrangement.
When asked whether they were considering two constitutions, Mr. Bhutto said "We are thinking in term of one Pakistan."

Sheikh Mujib had his sixth round of talks with Yahya yesterday morning at the president Bhavan. Chairman of Pakistan People's Party, Mr. Bhutto, was present during the discussion.
After his 70 minute parley at the president Bhavan, Sheikh Mujib told newsmen at his residence that president had informed him in the presence of Mr. Bhutto that he had conveyed to Mr. Bhutto whatever "I had told him". President Yahya had also discussed Sheikh's points with Mr. Bhutto. Mujib declined to say anything more than this now."
In reply to a question whether there had been any further progress in his dialogue with the president, Mujib said, " If there is no progress why am I continuing the discussion."
He said he might meet the president today (Tuesday) or tommorrow (Wednesday).
Responding to a question regarding the postponement of the NA session by the president, Sheikh Mujib said, "Don't you know that we cannot sit in the NA until our demands are fulfilled" and added, "I think accordingly the president has postponed (the session of the Assembly). Asked if there would not be a serious situation if the talks failed Sheikh Saheb said that a serious situation already existed in Bangladesh. We are in a movement and our movement will continue till we achieve our goal."
Sheikh Mujib was not accompanied by my side during his yesterday parley at the president Bhavan. He told newsmen that his advisers will be meeting president's advisers today (Monday) or tomorrow (Thursday)".
Hundreds of people, mainly youngsters, gathered in front of the president Bhavan. They were occasionally raising Joi Bangla and other militant slogans of the day.
Strict security measures were adopted yesterday. The gathering was barricated at a safe distance from the gate of the president Bhavan: When Sheikh Mujib came out, the waiting people raised thunderous slogans in support of his movement and made a fresh vow that they were prepared to make supreme sacrifice to achieve the emancipation of Bangladesh under his leadership.
