The following handout was issued by the Inter-
1. All the remaining hospital staffs of all the hospitals in the province will report on duty immediately.
2. All those persons who deposited their licenced arms with police stations may collect these arms on production of receipt.
3. Government servants in possession of licenced arms need not deposit their arms in the police stations. All heads of the departments will carry out proper checks and send a list of their departments to HQ Major General Civil Affairs through proper channel.
4. Restrictions on the assembly of five or more persons as announced earlier will remain in force upto April 15.
5. The daily curfew timings will be from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. unless notified announced otherwise.
The ML administrator, zone B, Lt. General Tikka Khan, met the chief secretary, other secretaries and Heads of Departments of the East Pakistan Government in Dacca yesterday morning.
Food situation in the province in general and the speedy transportation of food within the province were discussed. Addressing the senior civil servants Lt. General Tikka Khan said that one month of normal productive activity of the province had been lost giving a setback to the economy. He said they will have to work very hard to catch up on the lost time.
The ML administrator Zone B, has directed the general public that in accordance with ML order 132, all Government taxes will be paid in the normal manner except where specific exemptions have been given by the East Pakistan Government.
