All persons employed in Government, semi-Government, semi autonomous or autonomous bodies were directed to report for duty to their respective departments by 2st April 1971 at Dacca and ten days after clearance of particular area by military authorities in the rest of the provinces. There appears to be some doubt regarding the provision of the ML orders which is clarified as under:

Late attendance of persons after the due date would be treated on merits of each individual case. No action will be called for if genuine grounds which caused delay existed.

However, persons involved in agitational or anti-state activities shall be tried under the relevant MLR, MLO.

Schools reopen in Dacca

Educational institutions under the Dacca Secondary Education Board reopened on Sunday as directed by the education authority, reports PPI.

The members of the teaching staff and students attended their classes peacefully, according to reports received in Dacca yesterday.

The parents of the students and the teaching staff made fervent appeals to their wards not to waste their time any more in politics but to devote their energies to study to cover up the past losses.

Parents and teachers of Lohajang police station, particularly in the western part of Vikrampur, issued appeals to secondary boys and girls to that effect.

In some areas, the students were seen clearing up the educational institutions and removing condemned posters from the walls. They are also participating  in nation-building works such as repairs of bridges and roads for transport facilities in their areas.
