J.P. anti-Pak mission fails

Islamabad, June 3 (PPP):

As in Eastern Europe and Middle East, the Malign-Pakistan mission of Jayaprakash Narayan has proved a complete failure in Western Europe as well, according to the information available here.

Mr. Narayan has been cold-shouldered in Western European capitals and except issuing anti-Pakistan statements, he has failed to make any impact. He has neither been able to master support for Indian Government's policies of interference in Pakistan's internal affairs nor has he been able to convince in any manner the people of the countries visited by him about the imaginary and fanciful tales of oppressive accounts given by the so-called refugees in India. Even the Indian news media and the Indian authorities who had pinned lot of hopes on Jayaprakash Narayan's mission and widely published it, have now started criticising the so called pacifist leader for his failure to deliver the goods.

So-called refugees

In respect of Indian hue and cry over the so-called exodus of the refugees, President Yahya Khan's statement that Pakistan was prepared to welcome the genuine Pakistan's back and consequent opening of the reception centres in the border areas of East Pakistan has exploded the Indian myth and has had good impact on other countries who were initially victims of Indian propaganda.

According to knowledgeable circles, Indian to keep the issue alive, was putting obstacles and even physically stopping the bonafide Pakistanis from returning to their country.

In the course of an article published in the Hindustan Standard, he said: "A situation may develop where swollen by refugees, areas of India would acquire an Islamic majority who at some other stage would demand union with "Bangladesh."

According to All-India Radio the Indian authorities have started moving refugees from West Bengal to largely Hindu populated areas in Central India. The first special train left West Bengal on Tuesday. A large number of refugees are also being moved out of Tripura.

Patukhali Peace Committee Rendering yeoman service

Patukhali, June 3 (APP):

For this the chairman of the Peace Committee, Alhaj Shamsuddin Sikder, has extended his heart felt congratulation to the members of Peace Committee for their patriotic enthusiasm. Many old convicted prisoners who had escaped have also been captured.

Agricultural Varsity teachers condemn India's design

Members of the teaching another staff of East Pakistan Agricultural University, Mymensingh at a meeting held recently strongly condemned the Indian designs against the integrity of Pakistan, report APP.

In a resolution passed at the meeting the teachers and other employees of the University noted with grief that many valuable lives had been lost at the hands of the miscreants and thousands of innocent people had to suffer in the disturbances caused by the anti- state elements.

The following is the text of the resolution: In a meeting of the teachers and officers of the East Pakistan Agricultural university, Mymensingh the Indian design which directly or indirectly worked during the extremely turbulent period in the history of Pakistan for bringing about the disintegration of our sacred and beloved country Pakistan is strongly condemned.

This meeting felt that no note was to be left unturned to frustrate the disintegration of our beloved state of Pakistan which was earned at the coast of sacred blood for the very martyrs who shed blood for the very creation of Pakistan which was cherished goal of the Muslim inhabitants of the then British India.

We have our own grievance. We are unhappy at our failure to get what we think is our due share in the economic and political life of the country, and we have given expression to this discontent of our voting for a large measure of antinomy for East Pakistan within the frame work of single state.

But we have been shocked to find the political extremists escalating this simple and legitimate demand into a unilateral declaration of independence. We never bargained for this and hence our profound grief and dismay what has happened. It was to escape the domination and exploitation of the Bengali Hindu particularly the Calcutta Marwari, that we the Muslims of Bengal first decided in 1905 during the British Raj to set up a separate province of our own in East Bengal and again in 1947. We took a conscious decision through popular vote to join hands with our Muslim brethren in other provinces for the state of Pakistan we have no reason to regret that decision. As the majority of Pakistan we have the right to rule and this was well within our grasp when extremists in their inordinate ambition over reached themselves and jeopardised the very nationhood.

It should be the duty of each and every citizen of the country to contribute his best to bring back normalcy leading to country's progress based upon social justice and democratic principles which the Father of the Nation had uppermost in his mind and worked for till the last moments of his life.

Reception camps opened on important routes

Islamabad, June 3 (APP):

Reception camps have been opened on important routes from India into East Pakistan to facilitate the return of Pakistan who had crossed the border during recent disturbances, informed sources said today.

Necessary arrangements have been made for the reception, relief and return of such Pakistanis to their homes. President Yahya Khan in a statement last month had given the assurance to accept and rehabilitate all bonafide Pakistanis who crossed over the border following the recent happenings in East Pakistan. An official spokesmen, who reiterated the President's assurance on May 30, said all genuine Pakistanis, who were forced to leave Pakistan under threat or duress or forcibly driven away from their homes by rebels and miscreants, will be permitted to reenter this country after routine checks simply to ensure their Pakistani nationality.

Indian has been exploiting the refugee problem to her own material advantage in the form of foreign aid and for maligning Pakistan internationally. In this connection India is now rushing her Foreign Minister, Saardar Swaran Singh on tour of foreign countries after Mr. J.P. Narayan failed to elicit any response.

Unite to foil India's aggressive design

Ten eminent ulema of East Pakistan urged the Muslims of East and West Pakistan to unite themselves for foiling the aggressive designs of India, reports APP.

In a joint statement issued in Dacca they also appealed to the Government to arrange military training for the Islam loving patriotic people all over Pakistan, especially East Pakistan. They said: "It is the duty of the Government to build its loyal subjects as Mujahids, so that they can foil ever possible Indian attack on Pakistan." They said: "It is generally known to the Muslims, especially to the Ullma-i-keram, that the Brahministic India has been conspiring against the Muslims of Indo-Pak subcontinent time and again. The anti- Muslim forces tried their best to sabotage the cause of the Muslims, to undo the creation of Pakistan, the separate homeland for the Muslims. Nevertheless, Pakistan emerged as a distinct

political entity at the cost of millions of lives, at the cost of utter sacrifice, inhuman sufferings, and unparallel, indomitable, ceaseless efforts of the Muslims. The anti-Muslim forces however, did never give up their conspiracy.

"It must be understood clearly that the recent disintegrationist upheaval in East Pakistan veiled with the idea of democratic struggle for the realisation of Indian intrigue to undo Pakistan. When the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan successfully crushed the Indian design, the Brahmins of India began to shower crocodile tears for he people of East Pakistan". The ceaseless and-Pakistan propaganda of all India Radio, the pouring of armed Indian infiltrators into our country and such other acts of shameless conspiracy acted as eveopener for the conscious Muslims of Pakistan.

"The evil designs of the Brahministic India have been unveiled. having met a ground failure in her most nefarious attempt to disintegrate the homeland of Muslims and thereby injure Islam, India is now threatening Pakistan with direct attack. We do not have adequate language to condemn the atrocities of Hindu-India to undo Pakistan-the greatest Muslim state in the World language cannot express depth of our protest against Indian conspiracy and her naked threat of war.

"At this movement, the Muslims must not sit idle, must not shut their eyes, must not remain silent and inactive. "The Muslims of East and West Pakistan must how unite to prepare themselves for foiling the aggressive designs of India.

"According to the teachings of Islam each and every Muslim above 15 must prepare himself for jehad wherever (i) Islam or (2) Muslims or (3) the homeland of Muslims is attacked.

"We are appealing to the conscious Muslims brethren of our country to stand erect for the had. We also appeal to the Government to arrange military training for the Islam-loving patriotic people all over Pakistan, especially East Pakistan. It is the duty of the Government to build its loyal subjects as Mujahids, so that they can foil every possible Indian attack on Pakistan.

"We firmly believe that the Muslims, by the grace of Almighty, Allah will be able once again to teach proper lesson to India. Allah, the Merciful, Himself assures the Muslims: "Nasrumminallahi wa fatuhun Karib", the assistance from Allah is with you, victory is near in sight."
