India criticised for preventing return of E. wing people

Mr. K.G. Karim, General Secretary of Dacca City Student League, on Tuesday criticised India for preventing Pakistan nationals from returning to their homes, reports APP.

In a statement he said the Indian infiltrators forced the peaceful citizens of East Pakistan to go across the border. Now when the Pakistan nationals were eager to return to their homes in response to the appeals of the Pakistan Government India was putting hurdles in their way, he added.

Mr. Karim also denounced India for launching deliberate and false propaganda against Pakistan to serve her selfish end. Though our patriotic people and the brave Armed Forces had totally liquidated, the Indian infiltrators, India was still crying on, false propaganda against Pakistan. This is because, he went on. India could never reconcile herself to the existence of Pakistan inspite of the fact that all her conspiracies in the past against us were nipped and foiled by Pakistan.

He maintained that the people of East Pakistan voted for the deunct Awami League in the last general elections not pushing the country on the brink of ruination, but to establish a society free from exploitation. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman tried to destroy Pakistan by hoodwinking the people; but our Armed Forces foiled his disastrous move, he remarked.

Sizeable Quantity of Arms recovered in Rajshahi

(From our correspondent) Rajshahi, June 9:

In Rajshahi, the patriotic people have recovered with the help of police and civil administration and acting in full co-operation with peace committee members, a sizeable quantity of arms and explosives. These arms and explosives were left behind by Indian miscreants and anti-state elements the peace committees have come into existence. In Rajshahi district peace committees have formed and are functioning in almost all unions. In course of his tour of the villages he met people who expressed their unstinted support and faith in Pakistan.

Peace committees have also organised volunteers to protect the life and property of the peaceful citizens and got hold of miscreants. The result is that confidence in the mind of the people has returned.

He added that behaviour of the Indian press can only help in accelerating dangerous trend in Indo-Pakistan relations.

He said India is making malicious propaganda against Pakistan setting aside all international and diplomatic norms. The people are alive to the fact that the Indian sympathy for East Pakistani Muslims is only a pretence with the aims to jeopardise the integrity of Pakistan.

"Pakistan, which was carved out for the emancipation of 120 million Muslims of this Sub-continent by the Quaid-e-eAzam, was Shaken to the very root by anti-state elements supported by their Indian masters.
