More Pakistanis return home from India.

One hundred and ninety-two Pakistani nationals who had crossed the borders during last disturbances re-entered Jessore district today and reported at the Banapole Reception Centre.

Thirty four such Pakistani Nationals are reported at the Godagari Reception Centre of Rajshahi district. Proper arrangements have been for their food, temporary accommodation and homeward journey.

Sadruddin visits two reception centre

Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, now on a tour of East Pakistan, yesterday visited two reception centres, one at Chuadanga and another near Benapole, which have been set up by the Government to receive the bonafide Pakistanis returning from India, reports APP.

The United Nations High Commissioner saw for himself the supply of food and clothing as well as medical and nursing arrangement made in the reception centres. In Khulna, Prince Sadruddin visited the people's Jute Mills, and the Crescent Jute Mills. He was happy to find that the industries were functioning as usual and normalcy had returned in the port and industrial city of Khulna.

Pakistan express concern

Continued Maltreatment of Pakistan DSc n Calcutta

Islamabad, June 1 1 (APP):

Pakistan is understood to have expressed its serious concern to India over the continued maltreatment of Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner in Calcutta, Mr. Mehdi Masud, who is confined to one room and is not allowed to meet anyone.

On the other hand, India's Deputy High Commissioner in Dacca Mr. Sengupta. continues to live in his own houses and is enjoying many facilities even after the closing down of the Indian mission.

The Indian diplomat has received at his residence many foreign diplomats including Russian and American Consul Generals and the British Deputy High Commissioner.

It is learnt that restrictions imposed on Mr. Mehdi Masud are not lifted and living conditions not improved immediately, the Government of Pakistan may be compelled to consider providing comparable accommodation and amenities to the Indian Deputy High commissioner at Dacca.

President fully alive to E. Wing situation

Rawalpindi, June 11 (APP)

Khwaja Khairuddin, President of the East Pakistan Council Muslim League and Mr. Shfiqul Islam, Vice President of the Pakistan Council Muslim League, who met President Yahya Khan yesterday said afterwards that they found the President fully alive to the situation in East Pakistan.

The two leaders told APP they were confident that the President would take steps in a mariner commensurate with the interests of East. Pakistan as well as the whole of Pakistan and the 'Millat-e Islima'.

They expressed the hope that East Pakistan people have full confidence in the sagacity and sincerity of President Yahya Khan who according to them, was determined to reconstruct and develop East Pakistan true to the aspirations and urges of the people of the province.

Khwaja Khairuddin & Mr. Shafiqual Islam, who are founder convener and founder member respectively of the Central Peace committee of East Pakistan, said that they have apprised the President about the latest state of affairs in East Pakistan and assured him that the people have faith in the concept of Pakistan and ideology of' Muslim nationhood.

$ 10,000 worth of Italian medicine for refugees

Rome, June 11 (Reuter)

Italian Health Minister Luigi Mariotti yesterday authorised the shipment of 50,000 doses of cholera vaccine and 100,000 of antibiotics, worth about 15 million lira (10,000 Sterling) to India to aid refugees of East Pakistan, the Health Ministry announced.

French Aid

Paris: Two tons of medicine, baby food, vaccines and blankets, provided by French relief organisations, left here by air Wednesday for India to help refugees from East Pakistan.

Normalcy fast returning to Pabna, Rajshahi

Mr. Nurul Haque Majumdar, Office Secretary, Central Peace Committee, who recently visited Pabna and Rajshahi districts, in a statement said that peace and normalcy were fast returning, reports APP.

Mr. Haque in his statement yesterday said "Recently, I visited the districts of Pabna and Rajshahi to have on the post study of the situation prevailing there. During my tour, I met the members of the local peace committees, Martial Law Administration and the elite of the localities. I observed that peace and normalcy arc fast returning there. The offices and courts are functioning regularly. The people have started their normal activities with an enthusiastical.

"I also visited Rajshahi University and stayed there for two (lays. I met the authority of the University and some of the professors. I found that almost all the professors and lectures resumed their duties.

"I addressed a cross section of the people and advised them to devote themselves to their economic activities to restore the economy of the country which was shaken by the enemy of the country. I made a clarion call to the people to stand united to frustrate any Indian designs against Pakistan, which we achieved after great sacrifices."

Soviet Red Cross relief for Pak refugees in India

Moscow, June 1 1 (Tass):

The Soviet Red Cross has decided to send within the next few days different medicines anti-cholera and anti-typhus vaccines, food fabrics and tents to the Indian Red Cross as a relief for the displaced persons.

Millions of members of the Soviet Red Cross expressed the hope that their sincere humanitarian aid will somewhat relieve the plight of the needy and help to check the spread of dangerous diseases.

In connection with the grave situation and flares of epidemics among the displaced persons in India, the World Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have appealed to all national societies, including the Soviet Red Cross to provide urgent relief for them.

$ 100,000 for Indo-Pak Relief Fund

London, June I (Reuter):

Over 100,000 Sterling has poured into the India-Pakistan Relief Fund: which was started with television appeals through out Britain on Tuesday.

Britain's leading charities are involved in the Fund including Oxfam: the Red Cross and War on want.

A spokesman announcing the amount last night said: 'It is absolutely fantastic. The response has exceeded all expectations.'

Pakistan national integrity week from August 14

The Pakistan Peace and Welfare Council has decided to observe Pakistan national integrity, welfare and Islamic brotherhood week from August 14, in observance of the Independence Day of Pakistan.

In this connection there will be a social gathering of the freedom fighters who took part in the struggle for achievement of Pakistan and the heroes of 1965 Indo-Pak War.

The programmes of the week will be highlighted by the exhibition of books, literature, news papers, paintings representing or depicting the struggle for achievement of Pakistan and achievements of war of 1965 and of all the conflicts on Kashmir since 1947.

Mushaiera, essay competitions, Shabina, and great competitions, inter-district games, inter-wing games are likely to be included in the programmes.
