With the return of normalcy no East Pakistanis are crossing the border into India, an official spokesman said in Dacca yesterday, reports APP.
Commenting on fantastic and frequently contradictory figures of daily influx quoted by Indian leaders to attract world sympathy and world funds, the spokesman said, "we should know when anyone leaves, for our border are pretty well sealed and we know none is leaving or need leave."
Begum Akhtar Sulaiman, daughter of late hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy, has said that normalcy has returned in East Pakistan. Things were sure to further improve in near future.
Talking to PPI correspondent this morning, she said the conditions now in East Pakistan were much better than before, and the regime had restored the confidence of the people.
She said that when asked about her mission has always been the service of the country and its people.
She said that she will also seek an interview with president Yahya Khan during her stay here.
Begum Sulaman is in the city for four days.
A three member British parliamentary delegation, now on a visit to Pakistan. arrived in Dacca yesterday morning for a three day visit to East Pakistan. The members of the delegation are: Mrs. Jill Knight, Mr. James A. Kilfedder and Mr. James Tinn.
The British parliamentary delegation, during its stay in East Pakistan will visit a Reception Centre set up by Pakistanis who had crossed over to India under the influence of false and malicious propaganda. The delegation will see industrial areas in Khulna and visit Chittagong.
The members of the visiting parliamentary delegation will have tea with local newspaper Editors and writers followed by a dinner in their honour by the Government of East Pakistan.

Pakistan is expected to receive commodities worth 70m dollars from the people's republic of China, over a period of more than a year, official sources said here today.
The commodities will be a part of 200 million dollar, China has agreed to give Pakistan
as a first instalment of economic assistance for the Fourth Five year plan 1970-
The 200 million dollar offer is an open minded one officials said. The offer was made at the time of president Yahya Khan's visit to Peking in November, 1970.
An agreement for the 70 million dollar credit is ready for signing in Peking.
There sources said the remaining 130 million dollar are expected to be utilised by Pakistan for various projects. Some indications have been made and projects identified for financing them.
China had inquired from Pakistan about its immediate requirements of commodities a few weeks ago. A tentative list of the items was communicated to Peking, but it has yet to be finalised. The items included materials and equipment needed for work and rehabilitation of effected persons in East Pakistan.
Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Chairman of Pakistan People's Party, said here today there was likely to be a "slight postponement" in president Yahya Khan's announcement of his plan for the transfer of power to people's representatives.
Addressing a press conference Mr. Bhutto, who met the president yesterday, said the preoccupations necessitated by the preparation of budget, Governors' conference and meeting of the National Economic Council were the causes of the delay.
The PPP Chairman said the whole nation was eagerly awaiting the president's announcement.
"It is necessary we move in this direction as soon as possible" Mr. Bhutto added.
He said the country has had "terrible nightmare" and "disaster which one would not wish even his enemy to suffer and it was the result of political and economic plunders of the past.
However, the PPP chairman said, efforts were being made to learn the lesson and over come this crisis.
He said some arrangements were necessary for the transfer of power. His party was prepared to discuss them and there could be adjustments so that the crisis was overcome without being aggravated.
The PPP chairman said the first bridge towards the objective was the acceptance of the need for early and effective transfer of power.
About the next phase the shape of the arrangement, his party was quite prepared to discuss, he said. He wished the arrangements to be effective and lasting and said his party would give its view candidly to the people and the authorities at an appropriate time.
Foreign visits
PPI adds: Mr. Z.A. Bhutto said that president Gen. A. M. Yahya Khan has requested him to visit some foreign countries to project Pakistan's view point and to counter Indian moves against Pakistan.
Mr. Z. A. Bhutto said this suggestion was made by the president during his meeting with him (President) last evening. He said he will consider the suggestion in consultation with his party.
Mr. Bhutto, however, stressed that he felt that his presence in the country was most important in the context of the present political situation in the country.
Mr. Bhutto further said he may go for a day on two to some neighbouring countries may be Kabul just for rest.
He emphasised that I should not leave the country, but as the suggestion has been made by the head of the state "it is my duty to consider it", he added.
Round-
Almost a dozen Pakistani nationals interviewed by me corroborated the tales of atrocities intimidation and beating by volunteers and Hindu inmates of' the camps whenever anyone attempted to leave the camp to return to Pakistan. One of the returnees, the victim of hoodlums, bore fresh marks of injuries on his person while taking to me at Jikargacha Reception Centre.
The returnees, while narrating the long tale of miseries suffered in refugee camps in India after leaving their hearths and homes, said that within a few clays tile chicanery and fraud of India was exposed to them and they longed for the clay to return to Pakistan. They said that although tuning to Pakistan Radio was strictly for bidden, they stealthily kept on getting information about the return of normalcy in Pakistan. The day the Pakistan president General Yahya, extended an invitation to Pakistani nationals to their homes, the returnees went on to say, the yearning to seize the earliest opportunity developed and they managed to cross over to Pakistan.
They said that all routes leading to the border areas where reception centres have been set up in Pakistan have virtually been sealed to obstruct the returnees. Most of the Nationals were finding their way to Pakistan through tickets travessing longer distance ploughing through mud slush.
A. Rahman, aged 36, a school teacher of village Saranpur under Monirampur police station in Jessore district, while talking to me a Jikargacha Reception Centre said that his two month stay in "Mama Bhagne Camp" unfolded to him how India had been bluffing the world giving high exaggerated figures of Pakistani displaced persons and the economic burden caused to her. He said that during his meetings with the camp mates, he found at least 50 percent Indian nationals having come from Calcutta Slum areas and the unemployed population of the border areas.
Ram Bairagee, a Hindu young man of-
With terms in his eyes, young Sachdananda Acharjee, who hails from village Hosle Under Fakirhat police station, said that the general amnesty call of the East Pakistan Governor had kindled new hope in the hearts of thousands of' Pakistanis who are eagerly looking forward to their own birthplace. He said that the disregarding all sorts of obstructions vitriolic and diabolic propaganda being carried out by India. Pakistani Nationals are determined to return to their homes and the process of return was in full swing.
The young returnee, who crossed over to India leaving his family members behind, said that all the time he was suffering from guilty conscience for betraying the motherland and his parents. lie also complained against inadequate Food, halfplate khichuri supplied to him and oilier members in the camp and pointing out his sunken eyes and frail body said that it was all due to perpetual starvation. he wondered where thousands of tons of food being supplied by the world community was going and himself said that India was feeding her millions of hungry population in the name of Pakistani displaced persons.
While meeting scores of Pakistan nationals who returned through unrecognised routes he said that they had to choose that way of return as there was no other alternative. Those returnees said that they considered themselves fortunate from hell which the Indian camps are why they call Pakistan heaven, the returnees themselves said, was that it was their birthplace, the motherland Pakistan for whose independence their forefathers struggled for years and made sacrifice. they said that on return they found their houses, properties and even moveable properties all safe and infact. They said that they were ashamed to add they had been gripped by fear and panic created by the miscreants.
