The conference was attended by 22 countries including Pakistan whose delegation was led by Pakistan's ambassador in Saudi Arabia, commadore A. Hamid.
The Communique of the conference inter alic said, "They (Participating delegates) also expressed full support to sisterly Pakistan in its efforts to safeguard national unity and territorial integrity condemning any foreign interference in Pakistan's internal affairs."
General Abdul hamid Khan, Chief of Staff, Army visited the Headquarters of the flag officer commanding, East Pakistan, in Dacca yesterday Morning, reports APP.
General Hamid was accompanied by Lieutenant General A.A.K. Niazi, commander, Eastern command.
On arrival at the Headquarters General Hamid was received by Rear Admiral M. Shariff, Flag Officer commanding, Pakistan, who also took him around the headquarters and briefed him on the role of the Navy in East Pakistan.
While briefing the Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Shariff said that, apart from keeping the Chittagong and Chalna ports operational, the Navy had kept the life line of riverine transport functioning effectively between Chittagong, Dacca and other places.

The Government of Pakistan have decided to allow foreign television teams to visit East Pakistan for coverage, subject to the usual procedure, it was officially stated here today.
Foreign Press Correspondents have already been allowed to go to East Pakistan.
