Mr. Paul Mac Henri Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations in charge of relief operations in East Pakistan (UNEPRO) arrived Dacca yesterday. reports APP.
He is scheduled to stay in the province for about three weeks to assist the U.N. relief operation in this part of Pakistan.
New York, Nov. 2(Reuter) : President Yahya Khan said yesterday war between his country
and India is imminent, that the Chinese will supply his army with necessary weapons
and ammunition, and that he will consider freeing sheikh Mujibur Rahman, now on trial

President Yahya's remarks appeared in an exclusive interview in the current issue of Newsweek magazine.

According to information in the Election Commission Office yesterday seven more candidates were declared elected uncontested.
PPI adds : According to the provincial Election Commission, reports o1 withdrawal of candidature in 71 out of 105 constituencies were so tar received by the commission. United Nations, Nov. 2 (APP) : The leader of Pakistan's delegation to the United Nations General Assembly yesterday hinted that the Security council may meet to discuss the worsening border situation between India and Pakistan.
He told a press conference after a 55 minute meeting with secretary General U Thant that the situation was deteriorating and might lead to a war if nothing was done to restrain India. Asked whether Pakistan would request for a Security Council meeting Mr. Mahmud Ali said the request might be made by Pakistan or the secretary General himself might call the meeting.
Asked whether Pakistan was banking on China's support in the Security Council lie said China had been constituently supporting Pakistan and would naturally continue to do so. About his talks with U Thant he said he had renewed President Yahya Khan's offer "to accept the good Offices of the secretary General to bring about peace between India and Pakistan."
Pakistan's Chief delegate said the Indian response to the Secretary General's offer was still awaited. Earlier when the Secretary General had offered to post UN observers to facilitate the return of Pakistani displaced persons. India had rejected the proposal.
Mr. Mahmud Ali said he had requested the secretary General to make contact with India and ascertain her response to his U Thant's offer of good offices. he said the Secretary General had promised to do so.
Replying to a question, he said it was possible that a meeting between U Thant and the Indian Premier Mrs. Indira Gandhi might take place during her visit to New York beginning Nov. 3.
