Over half million Indian troops poised for attack.

Islamabad, Nov. 3 (PPI) : India has concentrated over half million troops poised for attack on East and West Pakistan borders, according to reliable sources here.

Simultaneously, India has also deployed its navy and Air Force on aggressive war footings.

On West Pakistan border alone. India has deployed 12 infantry division. three infantry brigade groups, one armored division, four independent armoured brigades, one para brigade, two commando battalions and over 54 battallions of border Security force. likewise, on Fast wing border, seven Indian infantry divisions, three brigades three armoured regiments and 30 BSF battalions were deployed.

On both these borders, it may be mentioned, the peace time deployment had too thin, particularly on East wing border, as compared to the present concentration.

The Bulk of the Indian Air Force which consisted about 1 100 aircraft of all types has been deployed in a manner which clearly suggested that their task was to strike against Pakistan at any moment. This force already heavily equipped by the Soviet Union will shortly have supersonic medium size bombers, and also MIGs 23 from the Soviet Union.
