Wanton acts of aggression. India warned Consequences

Islamabad, Nov. 4 (APP) : Pakistan has once again warned India of the consequences of continuous aggressive activities by the Indian Army which have caused considerable loss of life and property in East Pakistan.

A protest note delivered to the Indian high Commission here yesterday said "The Government of Pakistan take a serious view of the instance of continuous and unprovoked shelling on Pakistan territory by the Indian Army in gross violation of the ground rules."

'I'll note enlisted 22 incidents of Indian Army's unprovoked wanton acts ()I aggression against Pakistan territory between October 19 to October 24.

The note added that the Government of Pakistan reserved the right to claim compensation from the Government of India for damage caused to life and property in East Pakistan.

Razakars kill 7 Indian agents .

Reports reaching here from Sylhet, Bhairab Bazar and Brahmanbaria show growing morale and effectiveness of Razakars, reports APP.

A report from Sylhet said that the "f11-Shams" wing of Razakars, patrolling the area north-West of Sunamganj yesterday, saw two boats moving near Tahirpur Suspiciously. As they approached the boat to identify the passengers. the Razakar.,,, were fired upon. One Razakar was wounded. They immediately engaged the occupants who. after tiring a few shots, jumped into the water to save their lives. Four of them were killed. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered from the boats showed that the party was bringing ammunition supplies to their - accomplices, in the area.

The 'Al- Badar' group of Razakars raided a hide-out of Indian agents at Sill) ulkandi, three miles north-East of Bhairab Bazar, following a clue provided by the patriotic people. They recovered six rifles, four sten guns, eight bayonets and over 3,000 rounds of small arms ammunition. The Indian agents had deserted their hide­outs as soon as they got on inkling of Razakars approaching them.

A report from Bramanbaria said that Razakars clashed with Indian agents near Bidyakot killing three of them. The remain five surrendered to the Razakars and handed over their rifles and bags of grenades to them.

Pak troops did not fire on Kamalpur.

Pakistan troops did not fire on Indian border town of Kamalpur in Tripura state of any other area across the border, an official spokesman said in Dacca yesterday, reports APP.

He was commenting on a statement by a spokesman of Indian Defence Ministry on Monday last alleging that Pakistan had shelled the Indian town of Kamalpur necessitating Indian retaliation. The spokesman said that Indian artillery is constantly shelling Pakistan villages all along the border without any provocation but Pakistan troops are exercising full restraint.

Yahya flies over border areas

Lahore, Nov. 4 (APP) : General A. M. Yahya Khan, president of- Pakistan this morning flew over the border areas in an army helicopter and saw the deployment of troops in defensive position.

A press release of the Inter services Public relations Directorate said the President was accompanied on his border tour by Chief of staff' General Abdul Hamid Khan and corps Commander Lt Gen. Bahadur sher.

During his tour the president also met officers and Jawans and talked to them. He was happy to see them in very high morale. the press release said.

Civilian coup won't be tolerated : Bhutto

Rawalpindi, Nov. 4(APP) : Mr. 'Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Chairman of' the Pakistan people's Party, said today his party was watching with "interest and amesement" the activities of "power hungry" defeated parties and leaders and warned that any "civilian coup detail" would not be tolerated by the people.

The PPP Chairman was talking to newsmen after deliberations with important partymen who he summed here for the meeting yesterday. Mr. Bhutto said "Frauds" against the people could not be successful and repeated his earlier statement that if any Government was imposed it would not last more than forty days.

He said the Indian would be sadly mistaken it they thought that they could overcome the will and determination of the Pakistan nation because of their greater numbers and bigger military machine.

5 More elected unopposed to PA.

With the unopposed return of five more candidates in the by-elections to the East Pakistan Assembly in both the phases the total number of uncontested elected candidates rose to 81, according to information given by the Regional Election office in Dacca yesterday.

Among the unopposed candidates returned to the East Pakistan Assembly yesterday, included provincial Finance Minister, Mr. Abu] Quasem, who was provisionally elected from Rangpur.

Of the five candidates, four were declared under the first phase by-election programme while the remaining following is the list of four candidates elected

unopposed to the provincial Assembly in the first phase :

1. PE-60 Pabna -II Mr. Golam Azam Talukder (QML); 2. 111-'- 13 Rangpur -XIII. Mr. Ahmad Ali Sarkar (CML);

3. PE-14 Rangpur -IV. AI-Haj Paniruddin Ahmed (PML, conv); 4. PE-15 Rangpur -XV Mr. Abul Kasem (CML).
