Sadruddin in Calcutta.

New Delhi. Nov. 6 (Reuter) : Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan. the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) arrived here today and immediately flew to Calcutta to visit East Pakistan refugee camps in the area. I He is accompanied by Mr. Thomas Jamieson, UNHCR representative in India.

He will return to Delhi tomorrow for talks with Indian Government officials on the refugees problem and international aid (or the refugees.

This is prince Sadreuddin's second visit to India since East Pakistanis started feeling to India last March. He is scheduled to leave for Pakistan <m Monday.

Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees will arrive in Islamabad on November on a three-day visit.

Pak team discusses Indo-Pak situation with Chou &Chi.

Peking, Nov. 6(Reuter) : Pakistan's former Foreign Minister Zulflikar Ali Bhutto today began his first full clay of talks with Chinese leaders after arriving here at the head of a top-level military and civilian delegation as personal representative of President Yahya Khan.

Mr. Bhutto, who is leader of the Pakistan People's Party, arrived here yesterday and soon afterwards opened talks in Pekings Great Hall of the People with Chinese Primicr Chou En-lai, acting Foreign Minister Chi Peng-fei and Vice-Chairman of the Military Commission Yeh-Chien-Ying.

APP adds : The present crisis in the sub-continent "Naturally the major topic" now being discussed by the Pakistani delegation headed by Mr. Z.A. Bhutto. as spokesman of the delegation, Mr, M.A. Bhatti. Director General of External Publicity said here this afternoon.

Nation does not want Mujib, says Abbas Ali.

Rawalpindi, Nov. 6 (APP) : Maulana Abbas Ali Khan, East Pakistan Minister tor Education, said here today that the nation does not want Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, President of the banned Awami League.

He made the observation in reply to a question about the reported statement of' President Yahya Khan in an interview with an American magazine that he would consider releasing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman if the nation demanded it.

Maulana Abbas Ali said the East Pakistan People who voted for the Awami league in the last elections were not the supporters of "Bangladesh." 

Actually they had voted for the manifesto of the banned party which had promised welfare of East Pakistan, he added.

PPP Leaders call on Yahya.

Lahore, Nov. 6 (APP) : Mahmud Ali Kasuri and Dr. Mubashir Hasan. PPP leaders, called on the President at the Governor's House here this morning and remained with him for some time.

Razakars kill 5 Indian agents.

The "Al-shams" and "Al-Badr" group of Razakars yesterday carried out two successful missions in Comilla and Rajshahi districts, Reports APP.

Then Captured 10 rifles with 1850 rounds, two stenguns with 11 magazines of ammunition, 95 grenades and 130 pounds of exclusive.

Nurul Amin briefs President on latest situation.

Lahore, Nov. 6(APP) : Mr. Nurul Amin, President of the Pakistan Democratic Party today had a 90 minute meeting with President General Yahya Khan at Governor's 1-louse where the President is staying.

After the meeting Mr. Nurul Amin told newsman that he mainly discussed the latest situation in East Pakistan. 'I'll(, Current by-elections there also come under discussion.

He said lie had told the President that India had intensified her sabotage activities in East Pakistan after by-elections started in that win.

He said he had suggested to the President that number of Razakars ill that wing Should be increased and more arms should be supplied to them.

He said the Razakars were doing very good work there but all of them were not armed at present. Mr. Nurul Amin did not agree with the allegation that Razakars were killing their political opponents.

Mr. Nurul Amin said he had also suggested to the President that the draft constitution should be published earlier than December 20 the day o( its promulgation so that the political parties could get more time to consider t before the National Assembly meets on December 27.

9 persons asked to appear before ML authority.

PPP has no footing in E. Wing, Abbas.

Lahore. Nov. 6(APP) : Mr. Abbas Ali Khan, East Pakistan Education Minister. said here on Thursday that Pakistan People's Party had no footing in East Pakistan and more of the East Pakistan had expressed his affiliation with the PPP.

Speaking at a reception given in his honour by the local Jamaat-e-Islami, he said he doubted very much if even a single MNA of' the PIT had been elected unopposed from East Pakistan.

He said Sonic persons had alleged that a Jamaat candidate had withdrawn his nomination papers in favour of a PPP candidate. lie said he personally knew that person very well. He did riot belong to the PIT,

The Education Minister said Al-Badr organisation in Fast Pakistan was playing a vital role for maintaining the integrity of the Country. It was enjoying the support of the Pakistan Army, he added.

China assures resolute support to Pakistan in case of aggression.

Peking. Nov. 7 (APP) : Mr. Chi Peng Fei. the acting Chinese Foreign Minister today assured the Government and the People of Pakistan be subjected to foreign aggression the Government and the people of 'China will resolute] y support them in their just struggle to defend their state sovereignty and national independence. cables APP special correspondent. lie expressed concern of the Chinese Government and the people over the present tension in the sub-Continent and said of late the Indian Government has crudely interfered in Pakistan's internal affairs, carried out subversive activities and military threats against Pakistan by Continuing to exploit the East Pakistan situation.

Mr. Chi was speaking at banquet given in honour of visiting Pakistan delegation led by Mr. Bhutto, Premier Chou-En-Lai. Vice Chairman of Military Commission, Mr. Yen Chien Ying, Air Marshal Rahim Khan, Foreign Secretary M. Sultan Khan, Lieutenant General Gul Hossan, Rear Admiral Rashid, Pakistan Ambassador Kaiser were among those who attended the banquet at the Great Hall of the People.

Mr. Chi Peng fei said china was noted that "Certain persons are truculently exerting pressure on Pakistan by exploiting tension in the sub-continent in a wild attempt to achieve their ulterior motives."

He said was impermissible for any foreign country to carry out interference and subversion under any pretest and said it was firm and unshakeable stand of the Chinese Government to oppose any Country interfering in the internal affairs of other.

P.A. by-elections on Dec. 13.

Islamabad. Nov. 7 (APP) : The Chief Election Commissioner yesterday announced that the by-elections to fill the vacant seats in the provincial assembly of East Pakistan constituencies number PE-267 Noakhali one and PE-76 Kushtia six would be held on December 13.

The following is the schedule for the by-election Nomination of candidates : 17.11.1971. Scruting of 'nominations : 18.11.1971. Last date for withdrawal : 24.11. 1971.

24 killed, 550 pushed into Pakistan Indian Soldiers attack Muslim border village.

The Indian soldiers yesterday attacked Malaya, a Muslim village on Indian side of the Sylhet, Tripura border and killed 24 men, women and children. They pushed rest of the population into East Pakistan, reports APP.

Among the innocent victims were 6 women and 11 children. Over 550 residents of the village crossed into Pakistan territory. Their belongings were snatched and women kidnapped. Their house were also looted.

UN Observer here termed the tragic incident as an inhuman act committed ill sheer frustration by those who had suffered persistent debaclesas the hands of  Pakistan troops in their recent attempts to intrude into East Pakistan.

The evictus were provided all facilities by the Pakistan authorities.

Villages shelled

Reports from other border areas show that Indian shelling of Pakistani Villages continue unabated. The Indian artillery yesterday lobbed nearly 1900 shells of medium and field guns and heavy mortars into 19 border villages killing 17 villagers. Many houses were also destroyed.

The affected villages are Radhanagar. Dhalai, Jantiapur Gorait. Saldanandi. and Mandabagh along the eastern border, Akipora. Jagdalhat. Barakhata, Amarkhana and Bhurungamari along the northern border, Hilli, Darsana, Pragpur.

Kakdanga, Mandra, Benapole, Chak Chandi and Khanjaupur along the Western border.

Akipora in Mymensingh, Gorait in Comilla and Barakhata in Rangpur district were shelled twice.

Badr day observed.

The firm determination of the people to defend the solidarity arid integrity of Pakistan was reiterated here yesterday at a rally held at Baitul Mukarram in observance of "Badr Day" under the auspices of the Pakistan Islami Chattra (Students) Sangha, reports (APP.).

Speakers at a rally spoke on the significance of the war of Badr in the history of Islam and appealed to people to draw inspiration from it in fighting for Islam and to frustrate the conspiracy hatched by India and her agents to break Pakistan.

Sino-Pakistan talks will be deterrent to aggression : Bhutto.

Peking, Nov. 7(Reuter) : The Pakistan President's special envoy Mr. 'Zulfikar 111i Bhutto, told a press conference here that the result of the Sino-Pakistan talks end(,(] here today should be a deterrent to aggression in Asia.

Mr. Bhutto, leader of Pakistan People's Party, who flew here on a surprise visit two days ago as personal representative of President Yahya Khan said Indian threats had brought about a grave situation which required Pakistan to consult her friends. This was the purpose behind his visit to Peking during which he had talks with premier Chou-En-Lai and other Chinese leaders.

He leaves with his civilian and military delegation for hour(, tomorrow and no cornmunique will be issued on the talks.

"We do riot find a need for a Communique", Mr. Bhutto said. Mr. Bhutto  said that there has been completed understanding on all matters during the discussions with Chinese leaders.

Mr. Bhutto said Pakistan wanted peace in the region. He however, declared underlining significance of the fact that he was making, this declaration from Peking that if India imposes armed conflict on Pakistan their "they will have to lament at the end of their dangerous game."

London. Nov. 7: After having failed even in Washington in her major purpose of swinging President Nixon against Pakistan, war between two countries has now become immenent, reports from Delhi and Washington said.

Prime Minister Gandhi's trip abroad was seen as last effort to achieve some breakthrough on diplomatic level in solving Indo-Pakistan crisis. said David Loshak in Sunday Telegraph. "Only alternative to failure now seems to be outright war." he said.

and Pakistan as British Government is convinced that after Mrs. Gandhi's failure in Washington risk of war has greatly increased.

British Government feels that only way of averting clash is by posting of' UN Peace keeping force "only if both the countries agree to such presence."

After talking to U Thant Golder felt that only way of deploying UN force in the subcontinent would be if Big powers agreed, which at the moment was not possible. Meanwhile Sunday Telegraph reported Indian defence Chiefs putting final touches to state of all out preparedness. Indian Air Force is being keyed up and Jet fighting pilots are practising low level night flying. Sunday Telegraph said, "Indian defence sources deny reports that Russians have began to supply missiles or that any Soviet instructors arc being seconded to Indian units but they are making little secret of the tact that Russian supplies are now flowing in more rapidly including spares or MIG 2 1, field guns, tanks, helicopters vehicles being flown in Soviet made Autonov transport plants acquired by IAF some time ago. Many items among newly bought supplies are anti-tank missiles", said Sunday Telegraph.

Pakistan Govt. should declare `Jehad' against India Mahmud.

Peshawar, Nov. 7(APP) : Maulana Mufti Mahmud, General Secretary of the Jamiatul Ulema-e-lslam, today urged the political parties to force complete unity to frustrate the Indian designs.

Addressing a press conference here, he said undeclared war had been initiated by India. It was the duty of every Pakistani to do whatever he could to defend the national integrity and solidarity, he said.

He condemned the shelling and attacks on Pakistani villages in the Eastern Wing by the Indian Army and its agents and said that such a situation made it imperative for the Pakistan Government to declare "Jehad" against India. The correct answer to the "Cold War" initiated by India and the consequent situation lay in "active" war. he remarked.

He told a questioner that war with India would be "Jehad" because Pakistanis would be fighting the war, in defence of the Country.

Six killed at Gopchar (By Our Staff Reporter)

Six persons killed and three others were injured when unidentified persons opened fire on them on Saturday night at Gopchar, about five miles from Narayanganj.

Detailed identifications of the persons killed and injured could not be available but Narayanganj police said most of them were members of families of Afilluddin Sardar, a businessman and Abdur Rahman, a former Chairman, both of whom were killed in similar incident of friday in shahid Nagar.

Bomb explodes at Santinagar

A bomb exploded at santinagar crossing here yesterday afternoon. according lo

police sources, reports APP.

No damage was done to properties and nobody was hurt as a result of the

explosion.

Minister asks teachers to embue students with Pak ideology.

Mymensingh, Nov. 7 (APP) : The East Pakistan Minister for Works. Power and Irrigation, Mr. A. K. Mosharraf Hossain, today urged upon the teachers to discharge their responsibility fully and imbue the students with the ideology of Pakistan.

Addressing the teachers, staff and students of the Agricultural University here. the Minister traced the background of Pakistan and the sacrifices made by the scores of Muslims of the Sub-continent for the creation. He regretted that the present events were the results of the lack Of understanding by the youth about the history of Pakistan Movement. He, therefore, advised the teachers to educate the

students properly on the ideology on which Pakistan was carved out from 'Akhand Bharat' in which the Muslims were but slaves.

Qayyum's appeal for Unity.

Karachi, Nov. 7 (PPP) : Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan, President. Pakistan Muslim league today made a strong plea to all political parties to over come their differences and close their ranks to safeguard the integrity of the Country and crush evil designs of the enemy.

India urged to keep peace in sub-continent

New York. Nov. 7(APP) : The New York Times Friday carried halfpage advertisement sponsored by Pakistan-American Friends Association, Pakistan Cultural Association and Pakistan Students Federation of America, appealing to World leadership to urge India to keep peace in the sub-continent. The advertisement coincided with the return to New York of Indian primer Mrs. Indira Gandhi from Washington after talks with President Nixon.

Statement by Lahore PPP leaders criticised.

Peshawar, Nov. 7(PPI) : Seven local leaders of the PPP on Thursday condemned the reported statement of Lahore PPP leaders against Mairaj Mohammed Khan.

In a joint statement these leaders said Mairaj was young, brave and sincere leader of the party and those who criticised him wanted to make the PPP another convention Muslim league.

They said the critics were cowards who had joined the PPP when they realised that it would sweep the polls. These new entrants should remember that the PPI, Was a prograssive party and it had no place for cowards. they maintained.

These seven PPP leaders also expressed full support to the statemcnt of Tariq Aziz, a PPP Leader. The signatories include Mr. Saeed Ahmed. General Secretarv. City ward : Khwaja Abdul Malik, Treasurer, Khwaja Mohammed Aril. Secretary. Karvimpura ward. Zahoor Ahmed, Chairman, Tehsil ward, Mohammad Roshan, chairman Bashirabad ward ; Babu Sharif, Tatari of Chowk Nashir Khani ward : and Mr. Naseem Mohammad.

Qayyum's plea to advance E. Wing by-election date.

Rawalpindi, Nov. 7 (APP) : The President of the Pakistan Muslim league. Khan Abdul Qayyum said here yesterday that the Government, if possible should advance the date of by-elections in East Pakistan.

Addressing a meeting of students and his party Workers, he said, the date set for the by-elections from December 20 was more than six weeks away. He said the acts of - sabotage by the Indian agents in East Pakistan were growing. Such activity. he said . might be accentuated further during the pre-election days because India and Indian

agents would not want holding of the elections. As soon as the by-elections arc held. the disqualified MNA's of the defunct Awami league will lose their representatives character giving a blow to their propaganda potential he added.

He also said alter completion of the by-elections, the Government plans to form a civilian and representative Government which will not suit the Indian agents. That was why, they would like to sabotage the elections, he said.
