Chou, Bhutto satisfied at results of talks.

Hongkong, Nov. 8 (Reuter) : Chinese Premier Mr. Chou-En-lai and Pakistan President Yahya Khan's special envoy Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. have expressed satisfaction, at the result of talks they held in Peking, the new China News Agency reported today. 

They were speaking at a banquet given by Mr. Bhutto in the Chinese Capital last night towards the end of his visit made at a time of high tensions along the Indian Pakistan borders.

As quoted by the agency Mr. Chou said : "Entrusted by his excellency President Yahya Khan, the Pakistan delegation has come to China on a friendly visit and the talks the delegation held with leading members of the Chinese Government oil Questions of common interest have achieved satisfactory results. 

"This fully shows the friendly relations of Co-operation between out- two countries and the sincere friendship between the people of' out- two countries.- 'I'll(, agency gave no details of the talks Mr. Bhutto's delegation was reported to have had with Mr. Chou and other Chinese leaders following its arrival last Friday. However, at a press conference in Peking last night, Mr. Bhutto said the results of the talks should be a deterrent to aggression in Asia Chinese Acting Foreign Minister Li Peng fei speaking at a luncheon for the delegation yesterday charged that India had crudely interferred in Pakistan's internal Affairs.

Two gangs of Indian agents routed.

Razakars and mujahids yesterday routed two gangs of- Indian agents in separate encounters in Rajshahi and Chittagong districts, according to reports reaching Dacca yesterday, reports APP.

A report from Rajshahi said that a group o1 Indian agents was all poised to destroy a bridge near Bhandarpur when they were challenged and engaged by Razakars. The Indian agents also fired back a few shots but soon they had to run away with our accomplishing their task. One of them was killed and two  wounded. Razakars did not suffer any causalities. The fleeing Indian agents left behind two rifles, two binoclulars and 150 pounds of explosives.

Another report from Chittagong said that a party of Mujahids encountered a band of Indian agents who were trying to dump their ammunition near Barabakand. The Mujahids killed three of them and captured their ammunition which included 2,000 rounds of small arms, 110 grenades, 18 limpet mines and over 400 pounds of explosives.

Pakistan fully ready to defend integrity : Bhutto .                                                 

Rawalpindi. Nov. 8(APP) : Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, leader of the high powered delegation which conducted talks in Peking said on return today that their mission was a "Complete success" and they had fulfilled the mission entrusted to them by the President and the nation.

He was talking to pressmen in the VIP lounge. He declined to make comments on his mission in depth until he and members on the delegation had met President Yahya Khan and reported to him. Answering- questions he said that the mission was undertaken when threats of war were hanging on the sacred soil of Pakistan. He could not say whether they were still there or had receded because the matter depended on the attitude oft-he "predatory aggressor states." But their mission had achieved its purpose and they were now fully prepared to maintain territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"We want peace, we cherish peace. we will never aggress or tire the first Shot. But if any one aggressed against our country he will meet his doom on our soil."

China will intervene if India attacks us : Yahya.

Karachi, Nov. 8 (PPI) :The President, Gen. A. M. Yahya Khan has said the People's Republic of China will help in whatever way they can in case Indian attacks Pakistan.

In an interview with Thomas Fenton of the Columbia Broad Casting System (CBS) at Lahore on Friday last the President said that it India attacked Pakistan China will o( course intervene.

Asked whether Pakistan and India were closer to war the President said it was already on undeclared war. The President pointed out that Pakistan was exercising considerable restraint with India "Who has been continuously shelling our [)orders."

Asked about the trial of the leader of- the outlawed Awami League Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the President said that the trial was going on.

President Yahya Khan further said that the late of Sheikh Mujib was up to the Court to decide. He however said the proceedings of the ease would be published as soon as the trial is completed.

Asked about a political settlement in East Pakistan the President said that he had already given a plan for the transfer of power to People's representatives and would implement it. When asked how will he transfer power Without a majority party in East Pakistan, the president said, after the elections were over a majority party would emerge to which power will be transferred.

Referring to the displaced persons President Yahya Khan said that Pakistan was ready to take back all genuine DP's who had left their homes and gone over to India. We have accepted the UN Proposals in this regard," he added.

Step to check subversive acts. Collective fines will be imposed. (Staff Reporter)

The Government, it is learnt has decided to impose collective fines in future in areas from where subversive or anti-state activities will be reported.

This decision has been taken in view of the growing activities of miscreants and Indian agents.

The Deputy commissioner of' Dacca, it is further learnt has issued warring, to union and ward committees in city that in future it any incident of subversive nature Such as bombast, shooting or killing Occur in any locality, the people of that area will be subjected to punitive fines.

The ward committees have been instructed to keep strict vigilance against the activities of the subversive or anti-state elements.

Bhutto Calls on President.

Rawalpindi. Nov. 8 (APP) : Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party and leader of the high-powered (](,legation which has just returned from China, called on the President, General A. M. Yahya Khan, at the President I louse here this evening and remained wit ii hill] for sometime.

Razakars bravely repulse attack on Muktagacha PS. (Staff Correspondent)

Myimensingh, Nov. H:/\( about 1. a.m. yesterday miscreants armed with LMG, mortars, stengun, rules etc. attacked MuMagacha P.S. from all sides by opening tire. EPSAF and 'Razakars' who were at the P.S. bravely replied to the tire. Exchange of fire continued up to early down.

During the encounter the enemies suffered heavy casualties. So far 14 bodies of the enemies were collected by the police and 'Razakars' and several were reportedly taken away by the enemies.

Enemies set fire to four jute godowns and few small shops of Muktagacha Bazar. As a result a large quantity of jute was gutted.

Failing to cause any damage to the police Station, the enemies fled away. One constable suffered minor injury during the encounter. Due to firing and shelling of the enemies doors. Windows glass-panes and walls of thana building were partially damaged.

10 more candidates declared elected uncontested to P.A. (Staff Reporter)

Ten more candidates were yesterday provisionally declared elected to the East Pakistan assembly in the two phase by-elections. This brings the total number 0t

candidates. who have been declared elected unopposed so far to 96 out of 193 seats for which by-elections are being held.

The last date of withdrawal of the nomination papers were November 7 in the second phase of the by-election.

Among the ten unopposed elected yesterday three candidates belonged to the first-phase of the by-election and remaining seven were in the second -phase.

Of the 96 candidates declared provisionally elected uncontested one was shot dead in Narayanganj on Sunday Morning, Election in this constituency will now be held later.

Those who were declared elected in the first-phase yesterday are : Mr. A.Q.M. Jainul Abedin of the Qayyum Muslim League. Mr. Sharafat Hussain of the Convention Muslim league and Mr. Z. A. M. Yousuf Khan of the Qayyum Muslim league.

APP. adds : So far 26 candidates including seven of yesterday were declared elected uncontested under the second-phase by-election programme. The seven candidates are :

Razakars role praised.

kishoreganj, Nov. 8 (APP) : Mr. A. K. Mosharraf Hussain, East Pakistan Works, power and Irrigation Minister today asked the people to be aware of Indian game.

Addressing a public meeting here he said India did not recouncile with the creation of Pakistan and how was finding out opportunity to liquidate Pakistan. He said the 1956 defeat of India was still fresh in the memory of the Indian leadership.

The Minister told the meeting that by subjugating the people of East Pakistan India would impose her culture and ideology on us.

The Minister said that the guardian should take care of their words who have been exploited by the Indian agents on the plea of "disparity" being done to East Pakistan.

The Minister praised the role of the Razakars in defending the lives and properties of the patriotic citizens of the country. He urged the officials to work with renewed confidence. He also addressed two public meetings at Sandal road and Mussalli.

Two injured in bomb explosion in Dacca College.

Two students were wounded due to bomb explosion inside the Dacca College yesterday.

There was no damage to the college properties, according to police sources, reports APP,

in three separate shooting incidents yesterday, six persons including on(, Member elect of the East Pakistan Assembly and three members of the local peace Committee were killed by unknown assailants in Narayanganj and Bandar Police Stations.
