Govt. servants to serve anywhere: MLO No. 22

Rawalpindi, May 29 (PPI): The chief ML Administrator in an order No. 22 issued here to night required the servants of the central or provincial government to serve anywhere in and outside Pakistan.

Following is the text of ML order No. 22 issued here today by the Chief ML Administrator.

Order No. 22

1. Notwithstanding anything to  the contrary in any law or in any rules regulating the terms and conditions of persons in the service of the central Govt. or of a provincial Govt. the central Govt. or if so authorised by it, a provincial Govt. may by order in writing, require any such person to serve any place in or outside Pakistan, in such capacity and under such Govt. of authority as may be specified in the order,  and every such person to whom any such order is directed shall comply therewith.

2. The central Govt. may make rules regulating the terms and conditions of service of persons to whom orders under paragraph I have been directed and on matters connected therewith.

Secondary school in Dacca district reopen

The secondary schools under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dacca District have reopened yesterday after closure of three months. The schools in the Dacca city already opened earlier. A spokesman of the Education Department told PPI here yesterday that large number of students have attended their classes.

Yesterday being the first day the teachers preparing new routines for teaching. Similar reports were also received from the Munshiganj and Manikganj sub-divisions, where even the girl students attended their classes.

In many parts the headmasters and other teaching staff were reported taking keen interest to bring back complete normalcy in their educational life and institutions.

The sub-divisional officer who is also chairman of the non-government high schools will soon meet the headmasters of different educational institutions and discuss the ways and means to develop their institutions.

The managing committees of some of the institutions have been taking steps against some of the members of the managing committee and teachers who were found actively participated in the outlawed AL party and other political parties and to free the institutions from outlawed politics and from undersirable teachers.

In this connection, the chairman who is also sub-divisional officer will prepare a list against such teachers for their immediate removal.

Bonafide Pakistani nationals welcome to return home

Rawalpindi, May 28 (PPI): An official spokesman here today reiterates the assurance given by the president to accept and rehabilitate all the bonafide Pakistanis who crossed over the border following the recent happenings in East Pakistan.

The spokesman said that all genuine Pakistanis who were forced to leave Pakistan under threat away from their homes by rebels and miscreants, are welcome to return to their homes. They will be permitted re-enter Pakistan after routine checks simply to ensure their Pakistani nationality.

The spokesman said while there was no question of denying permission to Pakistanis to come back to their homeland it would be ensured that millions of the Indian destitutes and shelterless people in West Bengal did not enter Pakistan.

The spokesman also condemned the way India had been trying to exploit the refugee problem to her own material advantage in the form of foreign aid for maligning Pakistan internationally.

The spokesman warned the East Pakistan refugees against the false and malicious propaganda by the Indian and anti-state elements and urged them to return to their country and to their homes.

World Bank team members due in city today

Karachi, May 29 (PPI): Two members of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund team are arriving here early tomorrow morning. They will leave for Dacca after a brief stopover.

Meanwhile, the delegation leader will be reaching Karachi in the small hours of Monday morning.

The team will first have an on-the-spot survey of the situation in East Pakistan before having talks with officials in Islamabad on Pakistan's requirements.
